New Moon in Taurus May 15th + Uranus Moves into Taurus

On May 15th at 7:45 am we are experiencing a new moon in Taurus. New moons are always a good time to plant seeds for the upcoming cycle, and Taurus is a particularly fertile sign occurring in spring as the earth is blooming and new growth is everywhere.

This is no ordinary new moon, as a few hours later the planet Uranus- the planet of the unexpected, unusual and unstable- moves into the sign of Taurus. Uranus is one of the outer planets; it moves slowly and doesn’t change signs often. It will be in Taurus (with a brief dip back into Aries one final time) until April 2026. Whenever a slow-moving planet changes signs, we collectively feel a major shift in energy. This is a shift away from seeking freedom of self expression, and erratic, impatient action (when Uranus was in Aries), towards freedom in our personal resources and our values. Uranus in Taurus wants to revolutionize how we support ourselves. From a literal perspective Taurus is the sign of the bull, connected with banking and finance. Over the coming years we may see some shake ups in our financial system- we are already seeing some changes with the emergence of cryptocurrency. Taurus is also an earth sign- Uranus moving into Taurus may produce some earthquake activity around the world.
